What a racket this kid has: this year, James has NOT (yet) attended school for five days straight. Flu, strep throat, PANDAS, severe cold and cough, strep throat!!! He almost made it this week. On Tuesday, James had a major tantrum and broke out in hives - I think. Red bumps were all over his buttocks and thighs and he was really screaming. His teacher (very rational and NOT an alarmist) called me. I freaked out and ran to school. When she showed me, the "rash" was gone. Not a trace, no redness. From what I can gather James did not want to go to the bathroom OR James freaked out when it came time to pull down his pants. I think the later might be the case. The kid just got two MAJOR shots in his tush to kill this reoccurring strep virus. From his desperate attempt to flee the doctor's office the last time and from his beautiful, clear, audible cry of "HELP ME," I think the poor kid has some major traumatic experiences floating around in his head. He woke up screaming the other night and even Daddy couldn't calm him.That said, it's Friday (the 13th) and now everyone else can share a little of the bad luck that has been hovering over us. Share the wealth (share the losings) because we are DONE.
